Sitting up in bed again,

  listening to a crying sky

Watching the water snake my windows

   And blurr the passerby

                   -shapes turning

                     learning truth

Missing the shape of you, B A B Y,

so easily wrapped around mine.

I remember how we ran together like rain

          rolling easy off my back

                 loose distract

                           smack smack CRACK

                              honey tracks

naught lost in what we lack.

I remember you reading to me, B A B Y,

reading the lines of your face.

I'm draped in lace and lonely B A B Y,

kicking up words about my place.

     Waiting for some vision trick,

                                               some maybe,

to save my bed from all this space.
